It's January...which means that I should be taking down our Christmas decorations now.
I don't think that I ever was this sad about Christmas being over. I usually can't wait for summer as soon as Christmas is over, but not this year.
So for now, I refuse that Christmas is over.
Today, I am going to fully enjoy and breathe in the last bits of Christmas before all the pretty decorations and lights get taken down: I'll finish my book (Divergent. It is awesome) while being all snuggled up in a blanket and jammies, put some Christmas music on, with lots of candles and fairy lights in the background. And maybe I'll throw in a hot chocolate or two.
Man, I'm such a rebel.

I was SO not ready for Christmas to be over! I think next year I am going to celebrate the Christmas season for as long as the Catholic church does (which is really quite a while)! :)
I finally took down my Christmas decorations yesterday, but left the twinkle lights up - with no intention of taking them down!

Here in Holland there's this unspoken rule that it's okay to keep Christmas decorations until 6 January (although I think it has something to do with Epiphany) so you still have a couple of days left :)
Like Mar mentioned, we keep our decorations up until the Epiphany (the 12th day of Christmas) which is tomorrow, the 6th. I love enjoying the Christmas season for as long as I can!
My mother took our tree down last night, I kind of begged her to leave it up until february. it didn't work.

haha I havent had the heart to take down the christmas lights in my living room either :( I might just keep them up forever, makes it feel so warm and homey ALL the time :) love it!

It was really hard for me to take down the decorations, but we finally did this weekend :( Until next year!
I love Christmas and hate how fast the holiday season goes by every year.... good for you for holding on to the holiday spirit a little longer :)
